Breathe Buddies

Do you look after a child with a respiratory/lung condition?

Does the child have asthma, croup, bronchiolitis, regular chest infections, allergies (hayfever, dust, pollen etc)? Or maybe you are worried about your household environment affecting the child’s health, such as smoking, or mould and damp in the house?

Looking after a child with a respiratory condition can be overwhelming (and scary) so that’s where Breathe Buddies come in. Our Breathe Buddies are volunteers who can support, listen, and signpost you to the services you need. No judgement, no pressure, we are here to support you.

You can get in touch with us by calling 01744 371 111, emailing us on chcp.sthelens@nhs.net or fill in the form below and we will match you with a Breathe Buddy for support.

Breathe Buddies workshops

Join the Breathe Buddies Christmas Workshop!

Join us for an exciting interactive Christmas story, followed by some festive themed breathing exercises.

Children will then get the chance to make their very own blizzard snow globe to take home. For younger children there will be a colouring activity if snow globe is unsuitable.

No booking required, just turn up at the start time advertised. Sessions are open to all ages, but most suited to children 2-7 years old.

All children must be supervised by an adult throughout the session.

If you are worried or have questions about your child’s respiratory health, please come along to help empower and support your child feel more in control of the condition. We are not a clinical service; however we can listen, support and signpost to any help you may need.
